Intellectual Property Protection
We treat every client's intellectual property as a national-security-grade asset. Our legal and operational practices are structured to guarantee confidentiality and zero IP leakage.
Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)
Every engagement begins with a bilateral NDA executed before any technical discussion. We use industry-standard, mutual NDA templates with indefinite term on trade-secret obligations. Client-supplied NDA forms are accepted without redline friction on standard terms.
IP Ownership & Assignment
All deliverables created for a client — RTL, testbenches, scripts, documentation — are assigned in full to the client upon final payment. ChipVerge retains no rights to client-specific IP. We maintain a strict separation of client artefacts from any internal reusable libraries.
Access Control & Isolation
Project environments are air-gap isolated at the filesystem and network levels. Engineers are granted minimum-necessary access. All repositories are private, client-namespaced, and access-logged. No third-party services receive client IP without explicit written authorisation.
Data Security Practices
All data at rest is encrypted (AES-256). Data in transit uses TLS 1.3. Client design files are never stored on personal devices — all work is conducted on hardened, managed workstations with full-disk encryption and endpoint monitoring.
Data Retention & Disposal
Upon project completion or termination, all client data and copies are securely deleted within 30 days unless retention is required by law or agreed in the SOW. Certificate of destruction is provided on request.
Governing Law & Disputes
Contracts are governed by mutually agreed jurisdiction. We favour arbitration over litigation for commercial disputes, with expedited resolution procedures for IP-sensitive matters to preserve confidentiality of proceedings.
